What Claire Ate: April 22nd, 2016

Happy Passover!

The first thing I ate was a cheeseburger.

IMG_0494

Then I helped my friend prep for her amazing Seder.

IMG_0498

Then we ate a bunch of delicious food and drank wine at said Seder.

Sorry some of the photos are crap; I had some wine.

After the festivities concluded, I went out and had some drinks (a beer at Apex and a not-pictured cocktail at DD).

Breakfast was cocoa nib-infused cold brew!

IMG_9666

Lunch was a cold chicken sandwich with a cold glass of milk.

IMG_9670

Supper was a burrito that I had to walk through the rain to get.

IMG_9675

Also drank some wine (and a couple of gin cocktails). I don’t have a pic of the cocktails but I do have a pic of me drinking the wine because I was taking pics for an article and was using the wine as a prop.

Whatever.

The end.

What Claire Ate: February 10th, 2015

The first thing I ate was some goat cheese with baguette and a very disappointing Envy apple. I was seriously mad about this apple. It was mealy and too sweet and had not acid whatsoever. That’s the last time I stray from Honeycrisp tbh.

IMG_9561

Anyway. The second thing I ate was a not-quite-hard egg.

IMG_9564

Then I made a delicious cocktail for That One Drink. There was Hendrick’s in it.

IMG_9569

I made some pasta and sauce and burnt some garlic bread. I ate a piece of the bread anyway but didn’t take a pic of it.

IMG_9565IMG_9570

I also drank some wine for review. Here’s one of the labels.

IMG_9578

Then I had a beer and two cocktails at DD, because I am a creature of habit.

I know I tried some eggs, but again, those pics will be in the article so I don’t have them here. So just imagine all of the below plus a bunch of soft cooked eggs.

Anyway. Lunch was some bomb vegetarian tacos from Los Gorditos. (True story: I enjoy their fake meat more than their real meat.)

Soy curls and soyrizo

Then there were eggs. Then I had a Campari and soda in a mug.

IMG_9240

Then I went to dinner at a friend’s house and beers were had.

We also put clementine peels on Clementine the dog.

IMG_9247

Then I went to another friend’s house and had some wine and vitamin D.

I ran a bunch of errands on Sunday morning, and didn’t eat anything until around 2:30 pm. (I did have some coffee, but forgot to photo it.)

The first thing I ate was some of this blurry cheese.

IMG_9140

Also this juice.

IMG_9141

Later, while writing a thing, I had a glass of milk and the last TJ’s chocolate caramel.

IMG_9142

Supper was a burrito from New Season’s, eaten with a friend and paired with some wine.

IMG_9143

(Not pictured: more wine.)

Dessert was cardamom ice cream, which was delightful.

IMG_9145

Snack eaten while watching Narcos well past midnight: cheesy tots.

IMG_9156

(Pic taken with flash because it was dark.)

Day 2 of the amazing press trip started with stand up paddle boarding, which was only stand up part of the time, but at least I didn’t fall.

IMG_7267

After that small amount of physical activity, we went to eat more food.

This meal, which was at the S.Y. Kitchen, was actually my favorite of the entire trip. (Also the chef was super cute and charming, which didn’t hurt a damn thing.)

IMG_7270

There was really good wine involved, obviously.

Then we drove for many miles until we arrived at a lovely vineyard where we took a super fun Jeep tour of the place.

When we returned to the house, we were given makeovers from the very nice women from Vasanti. I don’t have a picture of my makeup, but it looked good. (Also I have been using their face scrub and lipstick since the trip and I really like it.)

Then we went to dinner at some place I can’t remember the name of. Seriously. So many places.

There was also a really ace coconut cake, but I missed getting a pic of that.

I slept pretty well.
