Cool. So here I am again, weeks behind on WCA. What is this garbage? Whatever. Let’s do this.

Breakfast was coffee and an Oreo I guess? That’s what the pics say.

Lunch was a bowl of vegetarian chili with some sour cream in it. Pretty ugly. Pretty tasty.

I was going out of town the next day, so Sean and I had a nice date night that evening.

First stop was Hamlet for cocktails and snacks.

I guess I drank this Diet Coke at some point, though I don’t know why I would do that when I had to get up at 4:30 AM.

Oh wait is it caffeine free?

-_-

That’s all folks.

So the first thing I did was go on a 9-mile run without eating, which worked out okay, really. After all of that, I had a strawberry lemonade at Hungry Heart.

Better than Gatorade.

After that, I went home and showered and then went out with Sean and my friend Chris and ate every single one of the things.

Then we went to the waterfront for a bit.

Then we went home to watch Game of Thrones.

This is how I felt after watching Game of Thrones:

I was quite “hormonal” on Sunday so my first meal was instant ramen and Diet Coke.

And that was the weekend.

What Claire Ate: April 18th, 2015

Soooo my phone went psycho over the weekend and wouldn’t accept text messages or take photos even though there was NOTHING on it so I have limited pics for today and none for Sunday. It’s fixed now, so we can proceed as normal, but I’m pretty annoyed about the lack of photos for Saturday night.

We got up v early for Record Store Day and stood in a not very long line with a bunch of vinyl-obsessed nerds until Everyday Music opened at 8:15. We were able to get pretty much everything we wanted, except for the Jesus and Mary Chain release because it was UK-only and I didn’t realize that šŸ˜¦

After gathering our treasures, we went over to Tasty n Alder and waited in another line until they opened. Once they were open there was no wait, so that was good.

I had a Bloody Mary with ginger and hoisin sauce and it was very nice.

IMG_3668

I had the bacon and egg bim bop, which was excellent, and Sean had the steak and eggs with a cornmeal pancake.

IMG_3669

This is when my phone started acting up, so I don’t have a picture of Sean’s dish.

All I have is this ice coffee.

IMG_3674

The rest of the day was spent browsing through thrift stores — we bough a dresser! — and other record stores. I also took a really excellent nap before biking to Laurelhurst Market to pick up some venison pate and mortadella for an evening of food TV with Lisa.

There are no pics of the excellent spread we consumed but it consisted of:

Beetlejuice cocktails

Wine

Labneh

The above charcuterie

Tomato slices

Olives

Hummus

Housemade milkshakes

WITH TOASTED MARSHMALLOWS

Lisa captured this magical moment.

Everything was excellent and I truly apologize for the lack of photographic evidence. My phone is all better now so we now return to our regularly scheduled programming. (Though Sunday is gone forever.)

I had a lot of coffee but photographed none of it. You know what coffee looks like by now so I’m not super worried.

I had half a bagel with cream cheese.

After supper, we went to Kachka so my uncle and his buddy could try the horseradish vodka. We ordered a flight (horseradish, rosemary, caraway) and some pickle juice. I didn’t get a pic of all that , but I did get this pic of a sign in the bathroom. I hope that makes it up to you.

IMG_3045

My uncle had to get back to his hotel (he had a very early flight) so we dropped him back at his car and made our way home. We stopped off at ABV to grab a beer, and Sean ordered a pizza because he’s just constantly hungry from running in the mountains or something.
