Yay Jessisca! And thank you to all who left comments!

On another note, What Claire Ate is going to be wildly inconsistent, if not nonexistent, for the next couple of weeks as we are moving from Florida to Oregon. I’m very excited about the move, and can’t wait to share all the amazing food and drink Portland has to offer.

Talk to you soon!

Then I ate some pickles and pickled ginger but I don’t have a photo because I had played candy crush until my phone died.

Also ate some dark chocolate.

See? This day was a lot less boring.

What Claire Ate: Over The Weekend

I didn’t do a great job of taking pics Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so here’s various photos from the entire weekend.

Friday:

I did pretty well until suppertime. Supper was at Byblos and I was so into my kebabs that I forgot to take pics.

I know that the first thing I ate that day was popcorn, though.

Breakfast.

Only ate one of these.

Tuna salad and Ritz because I am classy.

What Claire Ate: June 17th, 2014

I missed my Hello Kitty mug. Coffee just isn’t the same without it.

Back to basics.

Back to basics.

Coffee from this magical mug was all I had for breakfast. For lunch, I had a tomato/cucumber/onion salad.

On plain, white bread.

Snacks through out the day included grapes and cheese,

more of the fancy popcorn,

and test cocktails for a post.

Several of these.

Supper was pan-fried cod in ginger sauce, sesame roasted broccoli, and crispy potatoes.

And more drinks.

Then I had more drinks.

Bless my heart.

I then decided that all the damage I had done could be reversed with coconut water, so I drank one of those.

THIS WILL FIX EVERYTHING.

THIS WILL FIX EVERYTHING.

Then I fried a tortilla and sprinkled garlic salt and nutritional yeast on it.

This is actually a terrific snack.

Tonight I’m going to hot yoga, so I apologize to any other students who will have to deal with the gin coming out of my pores.

What Claire Ate: May 29th, 2014

Uh. Yesterday was a little ridiculous.

It started out with Tacos, which is a brilliant way to begin a day, but that really set an indulgent tone for Thursday.

Tacos were consumed around noon.

The lady put too much salsa juice on them and they were a little soggy.

Then we picked up Starbucks on the way home.

They always spell it that way.

They always spell it that way.

Around 6:50 PM, we rushed out the door to make it to Running for Brews in Dunedin.

The heavens opened up and everyone involved got pretty soaked.

Not thrilled, but at least it wasn't hot.

Then beer and chili cheese fries were consumed.

A brilliant Sour from Cigar City.

SUPPER

Then we sauntered to 7eventh Sun where I consumed about 18 ounces of their delightful Strawberry Basil Saison.

OH WHAT A NIGHT.

OH WHAT A NIGHT.

Sean and I then had a discussion on how we couldn’t be alcoholics, because if we were we would have drank all the rum already even though we don’t like rum.

Luckily, we had a cheap bottle of wine lying around.

Thank god.

Thank god.

Uhhhhhh then I melted some mozzarella in a ramekin, dropped the ramekin (didn’t’ break) which caused hot cheese grease to splatter on me and the coffee table.

In spite of this traumatic event, I ate my melted cheese.

Oh, and I guess I seasoned it with garlic salt.

Oh, and I guess I seasoned it with garlic salt.

So. That was Thursday, I guess.

The good news: I took pictures of everything I ate yesterday (except coffee, of course).

The bad news: The pictures aren’t that great, because food styling is for the ambitious (not me).

OH WELL.

Breakfast/Brunch whatever it’s called when you eat your first meal at 2 PM was half of a bagel with that sour creamed butter and two eggs.

Forgot until after the egg was cut and yolk was everywhere.

Pre-run meal was hastily thrown together chicken salad.

:-/

:-/

Post-run meal was wine, a black olive Caesar salad, and a flatbread (shared) from Carmel Cafe.

Three glasses of this.

I wanted more olive from this.

Very good.

Then I dug out a bottle of Riesling Dave and Kristal had left in my fridge and drink that in the tub.

In a tumbler that was a bottle in a former life.
