What Claire Ate: July 11th, 2015

Race day had finally arrived, and I was very nervous.

Fortunately, the weather was perfect.

I had iced coffee and some yogurt for breakfast and a tomato sandwich for lunch. I quit eating around 2 pm because I prefer running on a mostly-empty stomach.

I spent most of the day packing for my press trip and before I knew it it was time to go!

I’m not sure how it happened, but somehow I finished it waaaaay faster than I had anticipated.

Then I got my burrito.

Manged two bites.

Then I puked up my burrito (and about a gallon of electrolyte-enhanced water).

After lying in the grass for a while and dipping our feet in Vancouver Lake, we headed home, stopping at Whole Foods for La Croix and frozen pizza.

My stomach had finally calmed down, and I was able to eat our Whole Food’s goodies.

It was seriously the best thing I ever ate.
