Saturday was glorious.
We decided to bike down to the farmer’s market, and split a banana as a quick “breakfast.”
The six miles to the market was surprisingly pleasant — Portland is so great for biking!! — and when we arrived I had a strawberry lemonade.
After grabbing eggs, lettuce, and potatoes, we headed back, stopping for a quick tasting at Eastside Distillery.
We then continued on our trek back home, but stopped again at Laurelhurst Market for sandwiches.
I ordered a cold sandwich and Sean ordered a hot. We ended up doing a little exchange program.
Mine was pretty good, but Sean’s was this delightful symphony of pastrami, pickled things, grainy mustard, and fried onions. IT WAS HEAVENLY.
After the sandwiches were consumed, we completed the last bit of our trip, finally making it home.
We then drove to Hillsboro to get some more stuff and hang out with some friends. We went to a beer bar but I didn’t have any beer which was weird.
Later that night I had some leftover spaghetti with cheese melted on it.
Also more chips (with labneh).
Then I finished the last bit of sour tape.
We then went to our local theater for a showing of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I had some wine and popcorn, but it was very dark.
The movie was quite good, but it was punctuated by some drunk dude yelling “NERD” at Bob Balaban and then spilling his drink and leaving.
