What Claire Ate: March 15th, 2015

Sunday was race day! I woke up at 5:45, got ready, and made my way to downtown PDX with Sean and the roommate. My 8k didn’t start until 8:35, but roommate’s 15k started much earlier. It was raining and cold.

Once roommate had set off, Sean and I went to Starbucks. I got a tea and ate half of a bagel, but didn’t take a picture because I was quite distracted tbh.

I did my run, finishing in 59:01 and beating my time target by fifty nine seconds. I think the weather actually ended up being perfect. It had pretty much quit raining but was still cloudy, so I never got too warm.

After the run, we met up with some people at Rock Bottom, and I inhaled some cheese fries and a bloody mary, because it was race day damn it.

Sean had some too.

Fair.

Fair.

Our merry band of runners craved beer-garitas, so we headed over to Mayas Taqueria.

I had a coconut marg.

I ordered a michelada, but for some reason it was too acidic (which is something I almost never say!) and ended up trading the roommate.

About 10 sips I guess?

I finished this off.

After all of that noise, we went to Ruby Jewel.

Chevre and tangerine. Out of this world.

When we got home, I tried to drink a beer but my stomach was pretty confused/angry from all of the random ass things I had subjected it too (plus the running, I guess).

I began to get hungry again, so I finished off the last bit of my pasta from the day before.

For supper, we ordered take out from a Pakistani restaurant. It was wonderful but I couldn’t eat very much because getting up super early + running + day drinking + lengua and ice cream were starting to catch up with me.

Most of this is in the fridge and will be lunch today.

I went to bed at 9:30.
