What Claire Ate: February 26th, 2015

The day, like so many others, started with coffee.

Pro tip: All of my iced coffee is just whatever was left in the pot the day before.

The first thing I ate was a sample from Trader Joe’s.

Then I spent some time cleaning out my fridge, which included eating the rest of the leftover pizza.

Yup. All of it.

Supper (if you can call it that) was cheesy lentils.

Then I rendered as much fat as I could from my duck wings and carcass, so I could confit the legs. I also ate the little bits of extra duck meat in a port sauce.

I had a beer because THE DRESS was seriously stressing me out.

The colors mocked me.

Then I had this bowl of cereal.

And I ate the heck out of some frozen candy.

Around midnight, my duck legs were done roasting. Sean and I ate one while huddled over the stove. The other is being stored in its own fat, so the flavors intensify.
