What Claire Ate: February 21st, 2015

This whole weekend was really beautiful, weather-wise, so Saturday we took an impromptu trip up to the coast.

But first I ate half of a bagel with butter and cream cheese.

Our first stop was the Tillamook cheese factory. (My dad used to take me all the time, and it was weird going without him.)

So lunch was ice cream, I guess.

Oh and we also had cheese samples.

Next stop was Manhattan Beach.

After that, we stopped for a beer.

Then we went to another beach (which I can’t remember the name of) and walked around and watched the sun set.

The we went to dinner at the Big Wave Cafe in Manzanita.

My sturgeon was fantastic and Sean really enjoyed his fish and chips. All the desserts are made in-house, by the owner’s wife, and the crust on my pie was the flakiest I’ve ever had.

I still don’t “get” oysters, though.

After we drove home, we watched something (I can’t remember what) and ate popcorn.
