What Claire Ate December 5th, 2014

Because Sean is very nice, he got me a peppermint mocha from Pete’s. (my basic-ness manifests at Christmastime.)

With half the syrup, though.

Then it was taste testing time!

I'm so tired of working every day.

I ended up drinking three of those.

Around 2:30 pm, I was like “I guess I should eat something.”

Lunch was ramen with some broth I had leftover from something. I put an egg on it.

Very nice.

Very nice.

Around 4, we had to drive into the city so Sean could get some manly grooming at The Modern Man. While he was doing that, I went to Paxton Gate.

After Sean finished his grooming, we went to Bar Bar to kill time before we picked up a friend for her birthday dinner. We got beers and fries.

Beer.

Beer.

Fries.

Fries.

Then we picked up the Birthday Girl and took her to Lincoln.

I forgot to get pics of the apps, so I will list them here:

Baked hen eggs

Rabbit liver mousse bruschetta

Fried potatoes with a spicy aioli

A pork skin “pasta” with pesto and escargot

We ordered two bottles of wine.

I got the corned lamb’s neck for an entree.

Delightful.

It came with this amazing flatbread.

With dipping sauces!

Dessert was a popcorn panna cotta.

Very nice.

Plus coffee.

For energy.

Sean got this chocolate bourbon pecan pie.

Very good.

Then we danced the night away at the Portland Eagle’s Lodge, as one dies.
