Alcohol, Eating, what claire ate

What Claire Ate: May 4th, 2014

Even though I didn’t drink Saturday night, we still went to bed at an unseemly hour (around 4, I’m guessing), so we didn’t manage to drag ourselves to Cracker Barrel until 1:30 PM.

We were sat near this abomination.

No thank you.

No thank you.

Amazingly enough, my appetite was not deterred by the presence of nightmare artifact.

I ordered the Old Timer’s breakfast. (Or at least I think I did; all of the menu items have similar names.)

CHEESY GRITS.

CHEESY GRITS.

Supper was half a can of Trader Joe’s Turkey Chili and half of a sweet potato with a slice of melted cheese.

The photo is terrible looking, so we’re going to skip it.

Sunday is the best TV night in existence, and I usually have people over, so I prepared a vegetable/cheese/oliveĀ platter.

This was my first plate.

Oh. There were chips too.

Oh. There were chips too.

One of our guests brought meat wrapped in cheese and some wonderful pretzel bread, so this was my second plate.

Who doesn't love an animal protein pinwheel?

Who doesn’t love an animal protein pinwheel?

Oh and wine was consumed.

Three glasses, I think?

Three glasses, I think?

And a bit of chocolate.

Dark-ish.

Dark-ish.

THE END.
